Americans have access to the best healthcare in the world, but our system of insurance is broken, leading to unacceptably high healthcare costs, wasteful spending, and a lack of access of insurance for some. Experts agree that approximately 30% of the $2.5 trillion of our annual healthcare expenses are wasted on unnecessary, inappropriate, and poor-quality care.
